Floridian Snowpark, Snowcat Ridge, Shut Down By The County

The first and only snowpark in the state of Florida opened up this past November, bringing snowsports to the Sunshine State. However, less than a month after opening their doors, Snowcat Ridge has been shutdown by Pasco County due to fire, building, electrical, and plumbing violations.

According to a report for clickorlando.com, the county became aware of the violations back in November, which include the aforementioned violations, as well as operating with permits, inspections, or a certificate of occupancy.

However, in a Facebook post informing fans of the new snowpark that they were being closed down by the county,  Snowcat Ridge claims that though the permit they had was revoked, the county did not provide any documentation or written explanation of the violations. The park also noted that their legal team was working to correct the situation.

In a subsequent post from the park this morning, December 11th, the park acknowledged that they did finally receive the inspection report yesterday afternoon, December 10th. The post was in the form of a letter to the park's fans and reports having an inspection scheduled for later today.
