Land Rover U.S. Grand Prix World Cup Events At Mammoth Postponed

There have been a lot of ups and downs in the competition world due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Some events have been able to go on with some changes, others have had to be canceled altogether, while others fall somewhere in between, which is the case here. The snowboard and freeski World Cup events that were to take place at Mammoth Mountain in California after the new year are being postponed.

“We have worked closely with Tiger Shaw and U.S. Ski & Snowboard and agree that we must continue to prioritize the health and wellbeing of our employees, athletes, guests, and community,” said Mark Brownlie, President, and COO of Mammoth Resorts. “With that in mind, the decision was made to postpone the event to a later date. We look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship and commitment to athletics at Mammoth Mountain and will explore all opportunities to reschedule this season.”

The events that were to be part of the 2021 Land Rover U.S. Grand Prix FIS Freeski & Snowboard World Cup were set to take place from February 3rd through the 6th. However, with the continued spread of COVID-19 throughout California and the U.S. as a whole, organizers have postponed the events. New dates, however, have not yet been decided upon.
