Pico Mountain, Vermont Opens This Morning With All Kinds Of Snow
After an amazing nor'easter that dumped anywhere from 18 inches to nearly four feet of snow across parts of Vermont, just about every hill in the state is jumping for joy! This is likely to go double for Pico Mountain, which opens this morning, December 19th.
A fan favorite of travel skiers and locals alike, not to mention friends with Ski Rex Media, Pico Mountain can join sister hill Killington Resort for the 2020/2021 season. An opening day made even sweeter after pulling in about 25 inches of snow after Winter Storm Gail came through.
If the fresh powder isn't enough for you, which would be a shocker & surprise and a half, Pico is looking to sweeten the deal a little more by doing an opening day giveaway. On Opening Day, the first 70 guests in line at the Golden Express Quad will receive a voucher to be exchanged for a YETI Rambler Mug in Pico’s base lodge retail shop. The resort plans to run the Golden Express Quad and Summit Express Quad opening weekend.
“We’re happy to welcome back skiers and riders to Pico Mountain and ask that guests help us protect the season by following resort and state health guidelines as part of Operation Stay Safe,” says Rich McCoy, director of operations at Pico Mountain. “Our top priory at Pico Mountain is the wellbeing of all and we are confident that by managing the number of people visiting at any given time, we will be able to properly physical distance staff and guests alike while enjoying the benefits of outdoor recreation.”
As with every ski area and resort in the state, across the country, and around the world, please make double sure to familiarize yourself with mountain-specific COVID-19 guidelines, as well as state guidelines and travel restrictions. The state of Vermont has a quarantine requirement that must be adhered to. Always know before you go.
